Pushpa 2: The Rule budget & sales
A recent News18 article reveals that the makers of the Allu Arjun starrer have reportedly spent about Rs 60 crore to shoot a six-minute scene. The scene – which took 30 days to wrap, includes a Gangamma Jatara performance and a fight sequence. The site also noted that the film is being made on a budget of Rs 500 crore.
The report also stated that Pushpa 2: The Rule has already sold its worldwide music rights and Hindi satellite rights to T-Series for Rs 60 crore. It is also said that Star Maa has acquired the Telugu satellite rights, but the amount the deal was done in is unknown. Meanwhile, it is reported that Netflix has brought digital streaming rights by paying Rs 100 crore. The makers have yet to address these claims.
However, a source from the film’s team refuses to confirm or deny the specific amount. The source told Hindustan Times, “All I can say is that it’s a very high budget set which required a huge amount to set the melee. The makers worked hard on the scene because it’s crucial to the story. Allu Arjun even got severe back pain but completed the scenes.”
