IMG Credit: WWEThat’s a long time. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to a wrestler as they cut off any momentum that might be going on. No matter how big of a star someone might be, an injury can cut them off almost immediately and put them on the shelf. That was the case earlier this week with a top WWE star and now we know a bit more about what is going on.

Earlier this week, Rhea Ripley was forced to vacate the WWE Women’s World Title due to an injury suffered the previous week. Ripley did not give an exact time for her recovery but it was said that she would be out of action for several months. Wrestling Observer Radio is reporting that Ripley suffered a sprained AC joint in her shoulder when she was thrown into a wall during a brawl with Liv Morgan. The injury is expected to keep her out of action for at least four months, with four to six weeks to regain mobility in her shoulder and another three months to heal. This would put Ripley out through Summerslam on August 3.
Ripley is a beast. Check out what she can do when she is around:
Opinion: That could be worse but egads that is a long time to be without Ripley. It seems to have come off of a fluke accident, which really makes it that much worse. Ripley is going to come back as the biggest conquering hero WWE has seen in a long time and that should complete the turn that had been teased for a good while. It’s a shame that she is going to be gone so long though and the negatives more than outweigh the positives here.
What do you think of Ripley? How should she be brought back to WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
