And Out: Major WWE Name Officially A Free Agent As Contract Expired

She’s gone? There have been several WWE wrestlers signing new contracts with the company this year. This is the first time contracts have come up under the Endeavor banner and as a result, there have been some changes. This includes some wrestlers’ contracts coming very close to expiring before a new deal is reached, and now we have one such contract completely expire.

According to Fightful Select, Becky Lynch’s WWE contract has officially expired, making her a free agent for the first time in eleven years. As a result, Lynch is able to appear for any wrestling promotion she chooses starting immediately. Lynch has been expected to take an extended absence from WWE, though there is nothing to suggest that she will sign with any other promotion. She is however expected to receive large offers from multiple promotions. Lynch lost the WWE Women’s World Title to Liv Morgan last weekend at WWE King And Queen Of The Ring.

Opinion: It’s hard to believe that Lynch is gone from WWE, though I’m not sure I can imagine her actually going anywhere else. Lynch is the biggest star in the history of women’s wrestling and any promotion would love to have her. I would expect her to return to WWE at some point and it is going to be a huge moment when she shows up, assuming she indeed does.
