A recent report has shed light on another proposed inductee for the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, adding further anticipation to WrestleMania weekend.
The WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony has always been a highlight of WrestleMania weekend, celebrating the illustrious careers of wrestling legends and commemorating their contributions to the industry.
Already, the company has announced Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, and the U.S. Express duo of Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda as this year’s esteemed inductees.
According to an update from Fightful Select, another proposed addition to the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame roster is Lia Maivia, The Rock’s grandmother.
Lia Maivia, wife of the late professional wrestler Peter Maivia, assumed control of his wrestling territory following his passing. She made history as one of wrestling’s pioneering female promoters, overseeing the operations of the Polynesian Pro Wrestling promotion.
Earlier this year, The Rock was appointed as the newest member of the TKO Board of Directors, marking a significant milestone in his ongoing relationship with the wrestling world.
Furthermore, The Rock’s recent return to WWE programming has seen him aligning with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline, turning heel in a heated feud against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
It’s speculated that The Rock will team up with Reigns to take on Rhodes and Rollins at WrestleMania 40 night one on April 6.
Should Lia Maivia be added to the Hall of Fame lineup, it would undoubtedly bolster The Rock’s legacy as he continues to cement his family’s legacy as one of the most dominant forces in wrestling history.
