Anthony Gordon and Manchester United pair missing from England training

Sunday has seen Anthony Gordon missing from England training.

Ian Dennis of BBC Sport revealing the news.

The BBC Sport man says that Anthony Gordon is one of three missing today.

The other two not training are Manchester United pair Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.

Dennis says that another four players are yet to link up with the England squad after participation in the Champions League and FA Cup finals, that quartet are Bellingham, Mainoo, Foden and Walker.

Earlier on Sunday, Craig Hope of The Mail reported that Anthony Gordon had missed full training with England in recent days as a precaution, this follows the ankle issue that kept him out of the final win of the season at Brentford two weeks ago today.

Anthony Gordon looks set to miss this Bosnia & Herzegovina friendly at St James’ Park and will instead be aimed at Friday’s friendly at Wembley against Iceland.

Gareth Southgate simply looking after the Newcastle United player and doing everything to ensure he will be fit and on the plane to Germany, when he names his final 26 man squad later this week.

England v Slovenia – Euros Group match
