Armando Broja deal to trigger Fulham exit with Turkish transfer window still open

Fulham are in advanced talks with Galatasary about sending striker Carlos Vinicius on loan, talkSPORT understands.

Vinicius is not part of Marco Silva's plans after Fulham captured Armando Broja on transfer deadline day.

The 28-year-old signed for the Cottagers on a three-year-contract in September 2022, but looks set to make an early exit.

Fulham, who were desperate to sign a striker in the dying hours of deadline day, finally secured Chelsea forward Broja on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The Albanian has completed his medical with the club - but his signing spells bad news for Vinicius.

It was surely a relief for Fulham who had failed to acquire a number of late targets, including West Ham's Said Benrahma, PSG's Hugo Ektite and Stuttgart's Silas Katompa Mvumpa.

But Broja's arrival means Vinicius drops down the pecking order.

The Brazilian is likely now surplus to requirements for manager Silva and the interest from Galatasaray could be appealing.

Galatasaray, who are currently second in the Turkish Super Lig, had a late bid for Rangers left-back Ridvan Yilmaz rejected and are still on the hunt for recruits.

While the UK transfer window wrapped up on February 1, the Turkish market remains open until February 9, giving them plenty of time to agree a deal.

It means there could still be movement in and out of the Premier League.

Deals could also be done elsewhere in Europe, too, with the Swiss winter transfer market open until February 15.

The market in Croatia closes on the same date, with the likes of Hajduk Split and Dinamo Zagreb often producing young talents who are snapped up by bigger clubs.
