Artem Chigvintsev, best known for his role on Dancing With The Stars and his marriage to former WWE star Nikki Bella, recently made headlines after being arrested on charges of domestic battery. However, the accused, Artem Chigvintsev has alleged that it was Nikki Bella’s action that somewhat escalated the situation.

Upon their arrival, officers observed visible injuries on the alleged victim, leading to Chigvintsev’s arrest on felony charges of causing harm to a spouse or cohabitant. He was booked into Napa County Jail with bail set at $25,000 and has since been released. Reports indicate that the victim is cooperating with authorities.
Additional details from the incident, as revealed by TMZ, state that Chigvintsev mentioned during the 911 call that his wife, Nikki Bella, had thrown shoes at him.
“Initially came in as requesting medical, but now he is stating he got into an argument with his wife and his wife threw shoes at rp [reporting party].”
The dispatcher of the call noted the presence of a child at the scene, who indicated that Bella had the child and that the couple was physically separated at the time of the call, stating, “There is a child on scene. Medical en route,” adding, “There’s an active 415 [disturbing the peace] in the background responsible.” Despite the cancellation of the medical request, as the dispatcher stated, “RP is stating no medical is needed now,” law enforcement still responded due to the concerning nature of the situation and arrived at the scene to handle it.
