Artist Jonathan Bartlett has taken to social media to addressed speculation regarding the latest installment in the WWE game series, WWE 2K24, which was unveiled by 2K on Monday, January 22. The game will be available in three editions: the Standard Edition, the Deluxe Edition, and the 40 Years Of WrestleMania Edition.
The 40 Years Of WrestleMania Edition of the game boasts an impressive cover featuring prominent WWE figures from both the past and present, including The Rock, The Undertaker, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, and John Cena.
However, there were claims from a select group of fans online that 2K had utilized artificial intelligence to create the cover. Jonathan Bartlett, the artist behind the cover, promptly refuted these claims on social media, asserting that the cover was “100000000% human-made” by him.
“ummmmmm HI. this is 100000000% human made, by me.”
In tweet, Bartlett defended his work and expressed frustration with the skepticism surrounding the use of AI in creative processes. He emphasized that his craft of picture making was the result of his hard-earned and learned skills.
“But honestly, im gonna triple down on my F*CK A.I, because this is what we deal with now. Skepticism from others that will be quick to jump to a conclusion with out giving it thought. And now here I am defending my hard earned AND learned craft of picture making.”
Additionally, it’s worth noting that Cody Rhodes graces the cover of the Standard version of the game, while the Deluxe cover features Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley.
