Asensio is gaining momentum with PSG. Luis Enrique particularly appreciates his versatility.

Saturday evening, during the reception of Lille by Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Enrique started Marco Asensio in an attacking midfielder role. Author of a satisfying performance, the Spanish international is applying to be lined up from the start, Wednesday evening in the Champions League against Real Sociedad.

After the victory against the Mastiffs, the Rouge et Bleu coach praised the versatility of the former Real Madrid player. “Marco knows that he is in a very high level team and that we may need him in other positions. It is different and complete”declared Luis Enrique at a press conference.

A foolproof requirement

For his part, Asensio seems to have enjoyed working with his former national coach. “The relationship is good. After working with him in the selection, I already know his working method, what he expects from the team and what he asks of each player”he confided during an interview given to AFP.

“He is a very demanding coach. And, to tell the truth, he is one of the best I have ever had, both in terms of his work discipline and his professionalism, his standards towards himself and towards us”concludes the native of Palma, who can also be used by his coach within the offensive trident.
