Tay Melo made her return to the ring for the first time in two years and in Japan no less. This was her debut in STARDOM. The ROH Women’s World Champion Athena would also make her debut in STARDOM across the ring from Melo. This was at the promotion’s New Year Dream event.
Athena teamed with Thekla to take on Melo and Mina Shirakawa. After a hard fought match, the forever ROH champion and Thekla were victorious. Athena hit O-Face on Melo to get the win.

Funny thing about heels though is they will take advantage of every situation. So much so, that Thekla laid down a challenge for Athena’s ROH Women’s Title. Athena turned down the challenge to which Thekla said “we’ll see about that.”
