Leicester City confirmed their place in the Premier League for the next season and they are now set to complete their first summer signing as well.
Abdul Fatawu will complete a permanent move to Leicester City after their promotion back to the top. The Ghana international joined the Foxes last summer, and the loan deal included a mandatory clause of €17 million in the event of promotion as per O Jogo via SportWitness.
Leicester will now be expected to pay €17 million to Sporting CP for the highly talented winger.
The 20-year-old has been outstanding for Leicester City this season and he has seven goals and 12 assists in all competitions. He has proven to be quite effective in the final third with his pace, flair and ability to find the back of the net. It will be interesting to see if he can hit the ground running in the Premier League as well.

There is no doubt that the Ghana international is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him and he will be hoping to make his mark in the Premier League. He has the ability to do well in the English top flight and Leicester will be hoping that he can continue his impressive run of form next season as well.
He is still only 20 and the winger is likely to improve with coaching and experience. He could easily justify the investment in the coming seasons.
Meanwhile, Sporting CP will have to pay 50% of the amount they receive from the English club to Steadfast who had a sell-on clause in the player’s contract when he moved to Portugal.
Leicester have done quite well in the Championship this season and they will look to establish themselves as Premier League regulars once again. It will be interesting to see if they can perform at a high level in the top flight next year.
