Barça: Hansi Flick’s entourage denies contacts

In recent weeks, Barça’s desire has been to change coach. Despite an operation which could prove very costly, Barcelona leaders want to part ways with Xavi and his staff. To replace the Catalan technician, FC Barcelona would think of Hansi Flick. The German, already on the club’s shelves when Xavi initially announced he wanted to leave, is the favorite. However, according to Mundo Deportivo, those close to the former Bayern Munich coach deny a rapprochement. While Deco, Barça’s sporting director, and Bojan, his deputy, went to London for a meeting, Hansi Flick’s agent denies any meeting.

The German is, however, still interested in the Spanish club, which remains his priority. And it’s reciprocal. Hansi Flick did not accept the proposal from Chelsea, who has just appointed Mauricio Pochettino, precisely to wait for FC Barcelona. Deco and Bojan’s passage through London would only have been a stopover towards Dublin. The two men went to the Europa League final yesterday, won in style by Atalanta (3-0). We will therefore have to wait until next week for everything to settle on the Barcelona side.
