As Barcelona get set to take on UD Las Palmas on Saturday in their first match after the international break, they have been treated with good news on the injury front.

It has been a wretched season for the Blaugrana with key players regularly getting hampered by fitness and injury woes.

But ahead of Saturday’s clash against the Canary Islands’ outfit, Barça are set to welcome one of their key players back into the fold.

Ferran Torres to return

Indeed, as per journalist Toni Juanmarti, Barcelona forward Ferran Torres will be on the squad list for the game against Las Palmas this Saturday.

Ferran has been out with an injury since late January after suffering a thigh injury during the game against CA Osasuna.

As a result, the 24-year-old, who has scored 11 goals in all competitions this season, has missed nine matches in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League combined.

There were hopes that he could be ready to face Napoli in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 or even Atletico Madrid in La Liga before the international break, but no risks were taken.

However, Ferran has had time to continue his recovery over the past couple of weeks and train under Xavi with no international commitments. Now, all signs indicate that he will be in the squad list against Las Palmas.

A few doubts

While Ferran will be back, Barcelona have some doubts about the availability of defensive duo Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen due to some minor problems.

There are likely to be some rotations as well, keeping in mind the workload of some of the players returning from national team duty, with Robert Lewandowski one of those who could get a breather.
