Barcelona are undergoing a generational shift, with the younger players establishing themselves as the core of the group, with support coming from the handful of veterans on the roster.

The promotion of players like Ronald Araujo and Pedri to captaincy positions, the continued rise in prominence of stars like Lamine Yamal, Alejandro Balde, and Pau Cubarsi, and the emergence of talents like Marc Casado and Marc Bernal – all point towards the rise of a new era.

But such a transition also requires ample support and mentorship from the veteran stars in the group.

And, according to SPORT, two players in particular – Ferran Torres and Raphinha – have emerged as key mentors to the rising stars at Barcelona.

As per the report, both Ferran and Raphinha spend considerable time with the younger squad members, not only offering advice but, more importantly, providing support and lending an attentive ear.

Raphinha, who has recently been appointed captain, along with Ferran, have earned widespread respect in the locker room due to their exemplary attitude both on and off the field.

Their commitment to giving their all in every aspect of their professional duties has made them natural leaders among the squad.

Apart from Raphinha and Ferran, Inigo Martinez is another player who has established a great rapport with the younger talents in the ranks.

The report states that the veteran centre-back maintains close relationships with many of the young players. The shared language, naturally, helps facilitate this connection.
