With top target Nico Williams set to continue at Athletic Club, Chiesa has emerged as an ideal alternative, with Barcelona all set to make a move for the Juventus forward.

Before Barcelona come up with an official bid for Chiesa, the club have obtained crucial approval from head coach Hansi Flick.

As per Gerard Romero, the German tactician has green-lit Barcelona’s pursuit of Chiesa, who is available for a cut-price deal this summer.

Recent reports suggest the Catalans could soon make an official attempt to sign the Italian, with the Blaugrana ready to offer a €10 million fee to Juventus.

Although Juve are likely holding out for a higher fee, Barcelona certainly have the upper hand, knowing the Italian giants desperately want to get rid of the forward.

Reports suggest the Italian international is ready to lower his wages, in his bid to join the Catalans outfit this summer.

The forward has already given the green light for the transfer, which suggests Barcelona are indeed moving at a good pace, as far as their pursuit of the Italian winger is concerned.

The next few days, to that end, could prove to be crucial as Barcelona look to not only complete the capture of Chiesa but also register new summer signing Dani Olmo.
