More and more exciting young talents continue to put their hands up in the Blaugrana academy ranks and another player who appears to be making waves is Baba Kourouma.
Barcelona excited about Kourouma
Born in February 2009, Baba Kourouma is the younger brother of former Barcelona star Ilaix Moriba, who forced his way out of the club in 2021.
Now, his younger sibling, just 15, is catching eyes in the academy ranks, with journalist Jordi Cardero reporting that those within Barça are very much excited about his talent and potential.
A centre-back by trade, Baba Kourouma is currently part of the Catalans’ Cadete B team. But the youngster is playing for the Cadete A side in the ongoing MIC Football Cup and is impressing with his performances.
As mentioned, the 15-year-old is a centre-back primarily, but has even played as a pivot and impressed in the tournament.
Furthermore, the left-footed prospected has even operated as an interior midfielder in the past, giving an insight into his versatility and technical abilities.
Those who have watched Baba Kourouma and Ilaix closely, used to say: “The good one will be the little one.”
Confident with the ball at his feet, able to withstand pressure from opposition, and technically sound, Baba Kourouma is catching the eye.
Those within the Barcelona offices are understood to be very happy with his development and are excited about his immense potential.
