According to journalist Luis F. Rojo from MARCA, Barcelona midfielder Gavi is on track to make his return to the team this month.

The young star has recently made significant progress in his recovery, rejoining training with the main group. This past Friday, he participated in part of the training session with his teammates, marking a crucial step in his rehabilitation journey.

While it is still uncertain when exactly he will return to the pitch, there are hopes that he could be ready by the end of this month.

Gavi’s return to training was one of the highlights as Barcelona resumed work, alongside the addition of the club’s new signing, Wojciech Szczesny.

Both players took part in the first training session ahead of the upcoming clash against Alaves, which suggests that the team is getting back to full strength.

Gavi has worked hard

For Gavi, this marks a significant moment in the final stages of his recovery, having spent the last three weeks engaging in light exercises with the team.

His physical workload has steadily increased, with his time in the gym also contributing to his progress. The club remains cautious, however, and has yet to disclose when he will receive medical clearance to play.

Looking ahead, if the aforementioned report is to be believed, it is possible that Gavi could return for matchday 10 or 11 of La Liga, which takes place after the international break

When will he return?

Barcelona will face Sevilla on October 20, and six days later, they will head to the Santiago Bernabeu for the season’s first El Clasico against Real Madrid.

If everything goes as planned, Gavi might feature in the match against Sevilla, although it seems more likely that he could be named in the squad for the Real Madrid fixture, even if he doesn’t play many minutes.

The team will undoubtedly be cautious with his return, but fans can be optimistic about seeing Gavi back in action very soon.
