Even though Barcelona have showcased excellent form in La Liga over the past few weeks, the club have lacked some firepower in front of goal and have appeared a bit reliant on the services of Robert Lewandowski.

The services of Ferran Torres, in particular, have been missed. The Spaniard is currently out injured with a hamstring injury which he picked up earlier in the year.

Torres enters final phase of recovery

However, according to Alex Pintanel, Ferran Torres may soon make his return to the pitch as he has entered the final phase of his recovery.

The report adds that Ferran is determined to return to the pitch. He is working extra hard on his recovery. He shows up to work even on off days and does extra work at home.

Aside from working hard, Ferran has completely changed his diet, with a full focus on nutrition. He also uses certain physical therapy instruments such as a hyperbaric chamber. Every morning, he goes into a bucket of ice water to activate and recover his muscles.

Torres determined to return vs Napoli

What has driven Ferran Torres to work so hard for his recovery is Barcelona’s second leg Round of 16 clash against Napoli, in the UEFA Champions League.

Indeed, Torres has set a strict return deadline and is ready to work until the very end to get himself fit for the second-leg clash, where Barcelona would require a victory to qualify for the next round.

Ferran was not part of the first leg, which ended in a 1-1 draw. But the Spaniard has been quite lethal in the UCL this season, racking up three goals and an assist in six matches.

If everything goes well, Ferran will be ready for a bit of action against Mallorca, with the ultimate goal of making himself fit for the Napoli game on March 12.
