The past eight months have been difficult for Vitor Roque as his move to FC Barcelona has not gone according to plans at all.

Having failed to convince Xavi Hernandez last season and Hansi Flick now, the 19-year-old Brazilian is all set to leave the club.

Indeed, Roque is headed for Barcelona’s La Liga rivals Real Betis on a loan deal – which could be either for one or two years, with the final details yet to be confirmed.

Roque deletes Barcelona from Instagram bio

Ahead of the impending switch, Roque has moved forward to delete Barcelona from his Instagram bio, all but confirming his imminent exit.

Now, Roque’s bio only has his wife tagged and a phrase in Brazilian that reads: ‘Deus cuida de mim! (God takes care of me!)’.

In addition to removing Barcelona’s mention from the bio, the teenage striker has also changed his profile picture.

The centre-forward’s previous profile picture had him wearing a Barcelona shirt, but he has removed it and uploaded a new one of him in a Brazil kit.

Waiting for the agreement to be finalised

Roque had multiple options to choose from once it became that he would leave Barcelona this summer.

Clubs like Everton and Sporting CP showed great interest in the 19-year-old, but after holding talks with Real Betis, he said yes to the La Liga club.

Even though Barcelona had accepted an offer from Sporting for his permanent exit, they ended up giving in to the player’s will and decided to send him out on loan to Betis.

The two clubs are now working on finalising the details of the agreement before the transfer can be made official.
