Barcelona pulled off a late 4-2 win over Real Betis at Benito Villamarin on Sunday to take their points tally to 44 points in La Liga.

The game was far from simple, especially after Isco scored twice in three minutes in the second half to neutralise Barcelona’s two-goal cushion, given by Ferran Torres.

However, late goals from Joao Felix and Ferran put the game beyond Los Verdiblancos‘ reach and ensured that the visitors took home three points. For a team in the middle of a crisis, the win comes across as a monumental confidence booster.

Ferran Torres, the hat-trick hero on the night, spoke to the media after the game and expressed his happiness over the special result the team had secured in Seville. He began, however, by revealing the secret behind his resurgence in form.

“This is the result of my hard work, my consistency, mental preparation. This is Barça, the biggest club in the world, and you have to be prepared. I’m very strong mentally. I believe in myself.”

“Knowing the player I am, with discipline, with hard work. I know that what I want will come to me eventually,” he added, showcasing his fearless and ambitious attitude.

The Spaniard then went on to comment on the hat-trick he scored on the night and what made it more special than any ordinary hat-trick.

“It’s my 100th match with Barça as well, I can’t believe I scored a hat-trick. I have to enjoy it,” said Torres.

Finally, the Spaniard admitted that playing at Benito Villamarin was far from a simple task and elaborated on the importance of Barcelona’s win over Real Betis.

“This is Betis, Benito Villamarín, we knew they were going to push and have their chances, but I think the team has taken a step forward after 2-2. We showed our face and took the three points.”
