Luis Suarez stepped into the world of MLS for the first time earlier this year when he decided to join Inter Miami.
The move was significant in many ways for MLS, but even for Barcelona fans, Suarez’s transfer to Inter Miami meant the reunion of four of the former Barcelona superstars.
Indeed, Suarez is now teammates with Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets – four players who had notably won the treble with Barcelona back in 2015.
Inter Milan to be Suarez’s last club
In a recent interview, though, Luis Suarez has acknowledged that age is catching up with him and Inter Miami will be the last club of his career.
“Inter Miami will be the last club in my career. I will retire here. I don’t know when, but it’s decided that this is my last club,” Suarez said (h/t Mundo Deportivo).
The Uruguayan’s comments came about a week before the MLS season kicks off, with Inter Miami taking on Real Salt Lake on January 22.

Football fans across the globe, though, will be disappointed with the fact that Suarez might not grace the field for long.
At 37, Suarez has certainly had a glittering career, with over 400 goals across top leagues in Europe. It must be noted that the Uruguayan has not lost his goalscoring touch even at this age, though.
During his time at Gremio, Suarez notably scored 17 goals in 33 matches last season while also amassing 11 assists. This is a sign of the player’s quality and he could potentially achieve at Inter Miami this season, especially with Messi once again supporting him in the final third.
