After narrowly avoiding Lamine Yamal’s injury scare during the international break, Barcelona will be looking to return to league action on October 20, as they take on Sevilla.
Many outlets claimed Gavi could mark a return to action heading into this game, as the midfielder has already returned to training and doing well.
Gavi return postponed until November
However, according to Diario SPORT, Gavi might not return to action in the upcoming game against Sevilla.
That is because his return has been postponed until November 3, when Barcelona are slated to take on Espanyol.
This means Gavi is also set to miss out on the upcoming crucial matches against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, in what could be a major blow for the Catalans.

Barcelona want to avoid risks with Gavi
This could prove to be a prudent move from Barcelona’s perspective, as the club are not willing to risk Gavi’s fitness, knowing the player has been out for 11 months now.
Given the tough of fixtures that are incoming, it could be a grave risk to push Gavi back into the field, at least until he starts feeling fully fit.
Until then, Barcelona should have enough options on the creative side of things, especially with Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez likely to return to action against Sevilla.
Not to mention, the trio of Pedri, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal have been in excellent form and are likely to maintain their consistency heading into this tough set of fixtures.
