Vitor Roque is close to leaving FC Barcelona in the coming days but his next destination has yet to be finalised.

The striker has fallen out of favour at the club just eight months into his stint in Catalonia and is all set to move on to his next challenge.

There is no shortage of interest in the 19-year-old Brazilian either but not all of them are willing to meet Barcelona’s demands for the youngster.

Real Betis and Sporting CP are the clubs pushing the hardest to sign Roque and have tabled offers for him as well – the former only a loan deal and the latter for a permanent transfer.

Vitor Roque says ‘yes’ to Real Betis

Now, journalist Victor Navarro reports that Vitor Roque has already said yes to joining Real Betis on a loan deal this summer.

A delegation from the Seville-based outfit was in Barcelona earlier this week and held concrete talks with both the player’s camp and the Blaugrana officials.

Following that, Roque is understood to have said yes to joining Real Betis, with the club president, Angel Haro, admitting as much today.

“The player is passionate about coming to Betis, but we have to negotiate with Barcelona,” he said (h/t Pau Sancha).

Barcelona want permanent exit

However, Victor Navarro adds that Barcelona want to offload Vitor Roque on a permanent transfer and are seeking a fee of at least €25 million in fixed fees and another €5 million in variables.

Portuguese giants Sporting CP are willing to sign him permanently but are yet to meet that valuation, which Deco hopes they will. But Real Betis are in no position to shell out a fee for the teenager and can only sign him on loan.

So, it is now up to Betis and Barcelona to find a middle ground in negotiations as Roque has already decided to join them. If an agreement is not reached, Sporting could be where the striker ends up.
