Barcelona are no stranger when it comes to churning out talents from all across the globe. The club have unearthed some hidden gems over the years and are always on the lookout for unknown stars ready to shine at the highest level.

In one such case, it appears Barcelona have set their sights on an English youngster, who is buzzing in the lower levels of English football.

Barcelona plot raid for Liam Brazier

According to Mirror, Barcelona are among the clubs interested in the services of Liam Brazier. The youngster currently plies his trade for League One outfit Port Vale.

At just 17, Vale was primarily a part of Port Vale’s U18 side. But after making a solid impression in three EFL Trophy games, the midfielder has garnered a lot of attention.

A host of top European clubs are monitoring the progress of young Brazier, who is now being regarded as one of the most talented players to come out of the Port Vale academy.

But it is Barcelona’s interest in the player, which has raised eyebrows within the Port Vale camp and it appears the club are not apprehensive about making a move for the young Englishman.

Port Vale susceptible to an approach

Being a League One outfit, Port Vale are not in a position to do much to keep hold of their star player and are in dire need of cash.

That is why Barcelona could easily snap up Brazier’s services if they are truly serious about the youngster.

In fact, Port Vale have hurried to hand Brazier a professional contract, just so they can fetch a greater amount for the player.

But with other English clubs also keen on his services, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Port Vale starlet this year.
