Barcelona were dealt with a massive blow yesterday when the Commercial Court refused to grant any precautionary measure to register Dani Olmo.
With three days left before the year comes to an end, Barcelona are facing a race against time as they look to register their new signing.
Joan Laporta, for his part, is working round the clock to find a quick solution. The Barcelona president was supposed to attend the Globe Soccer Award event last evening.
He even travelled to Dubai but had to cancel his appointment after learning the court’s verdict. He is now in constant contact with the Barcelona board as they try to register Olmo in three days.

In the midst of such uncertainty over Olmo’s future, Barcelona have a message for the Spanish international: “We will fix it no matter what.”

Olmo, for his part, has remained quite calm and is confident of Barcelona’s ability to re-register him before the deadline.
The former RB Leipzig has been spending a short vacation in the United States, where he notably met Damian Lillard.
Olmo also watched the game between the Bucks and Brooklyn’s Nets in Milwaukee. He returned to Barcelona knowing he could not play for the club until the situation resolves.
Olmo does have a clause in his contract that will allow him to become a free transfer if Barcelona fail to register him on time.
The next few days, therefore, could be extremely crucial, both for the player and the club.
