While not on the same scale as Pau Cubarsi and Lamine Yamal, Hector Fort has also enjoyed an impressive breakthrough campaign at FC Barcelona this season.

Just 17 years old, the teenager, primarily a right-back, has impressed in the first-team setup even when deployed as a makeshift left-back.

Fort’s rise and progression have not gone unnoticed and the fact that he has a paltry release clause as part of his contract makes him an attractive proposition for clubs.

Barcelona have knocked back offers

Now, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona have already knocked back important offers for Hector Fort from clubs like Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG have shown an interest in a number of youngsters at Barcelona ranging from Gavi to Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi this year.

As it happens, Fort has also registered on their radars and some other clubs as well. As such, Barça have had to turn down any and all approaches they have had for the teenager.

Renewal in progress

Furthermore, it is suggested that talks are already underway to secure Hector Fort’s long-term future at Barcelona.

In fact, only recently it was suggested that Xavi’s continuity as manager all but guarantees Fort’s extension, with a possible increase in salary and a raise in his release clause amount.

The 17-year-old has shown that he is ready for this stage and could serve as a backup right-back to Joao Cancelo next season, provided the Portuguese is signed on loan again or permanently from Manchester City.
