As soon as the news of Kylian Mbappe informing PSG about his exit emerged last evening, a plethora of rumours surfaced linking the Parisian giants with top players across Europe as they look to build a new-look team without their marquee superstar.

And, as per reports, one of the players that PSG have on their agenda for the summer is Barcelona midfield gem, Gavi.

The teenage sensation had been linked with Les Parisiens last summer as well, soon after Luis Enrique became the manager at Parc des Princes.

And now, with Mbappe departing, it is being claimed that PSG intend on reigniting their interest in Gavi, with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi himself understood to be keen.

Gavi not for sale

However, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are clear that Gavi is not for sale in the summer despite PSG’s interest.

It is known that Barça are in need of making one or more important sales in the summer transfer window.

Gavi, whose market value stands at €90 million, would fetch a big sum, given his age, potential, and the duration of his contract.

However, selling one of the best talents to have come out of La Masia in recent years is not something that Barcelona will consider in the summer.

In fact, Gavi is regarded as one of the only three untouchables by the Catalans’ sporting director Deco, along with Pedri and Ronald Araujo.

Currently out with an ACL injury, the 19-year-old sensation is expected to return in time for pre-season in the summer. And despite the interest from PSG, Barcelona will simply not consider the idea of offloading the La Masia graduate.
