It is no secret that Barcelona are ready to embark on yet another pre-season tour to the United States this summer, the third time in as many years.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta hinted as much during the presentation event with a new collaboration with automotive brand Cupra.

While Barça are yet to release a final schedule of their pre-season tour to the US this summer, a recent report from Diario AS has highlighted many key insights into the club’s plans in the country.

Barcelona to travel to the East Side

After two back-to-back preseason campaigns in the United States, Barcelona are primarily planning to conduct a tour of the East Coast, this time around.

That would mean visits to cities such as Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Miami, Orlando and Atalanta, among others.

Barcelona will also have Cupra as the brand sponsor that will appear on the shirt, especially on the sleeves. Laporta already stressed the importance of bringing brand connectivity to the citizens of the US, who, as per the Barcelona president, love ‘speedy cars’.

Barcelona’s plan is to establish a training headquarters in the United States. This has been planned keeping in mind the club’s frequent visits across the Atlantic, mainly for the preseason tour.

Establishing a training HQ in the US will help Barcelona greatly reduce logistics costs while allowing the players to receive proper rehab and training.

A lot of aspects surrounding Barcelona’s US tour this summer will be decided by the new coach, particularly when it comes to the schedule and training regime the club will undertake.

For the technical and publicity aspect, the Barcelona board is already hard at work, trying to fix another El Clasico, which would bring in a revenue of around €10 million.
