Barcelona secured a place in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey last night after defeating third-division side Unionistas de Salamanca 3-1 away from home.

It was a huge win for the Blaugrana considering that they needed to produce a strong reaction after the Spanish Super Cup final defeat to Real Madrid.

And even though things did not start well, strikes from Ferran Torres, Jules Kounde, and Alejandro Balde ultimately got the job done.

With a place in the quarter-finals now secure, Barcelona can face one of the following seven opponents in the last-eight stage, and it will be far from easy for the Blaugrana.

The teams that Barcelona could face in the next round of the Copa del Rey are Sevilla, Athletic Club, Mallorca, Celta Vigo, Real Sociedad, Girona, and Atletico Madrid.

The draw for the Copa del Rey quarter-finals will be held today, starting at 1:00 p.m. (CET) in the Luis Aragonés assembly hall of the Ciudad del Fútbol of Las Rozas.

None of the teams will be an easy opponent for Barcelona, more so considering some of their recent performances.

The quarter-final will be a single-legged affair, but the semi-finals will be played home and away, before the finals that is scheduled to take place on April 6 in Seville.
