With Barcelona searching for a manager to replace Xavi Hernandez at the end of the season, Hansi Flick has emerged as one of the top candidates to succeed the 44-year-old.
The 58-year-old has been without any job after being relieved of his duties by the German national team in September last year.
While his stint with Die Mannschaft was not exactly memorable, Flick achieved special things during his stint as the manager of Bayern Munich.
And, it has made him a top target for Barcelona, with president Joan Laporta particularly leaning towards him to replace Xavi.
Flick has inquiries from the Premier League
Now, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, Hansi Flick is not only in demand at Barcelona, but also in the English Premier League.
Indeed, as per the update, the former Bayern Munich boss has inquiries from several Premier League clubs as he looks for his next adventure.
But it has been previously reported that Flick would ‘love’ to take over from Xavi at Barcelona. In fact, the German tactician is understood to be learning Spanish as well to help facilitate his move to the La Liga club in the summer.
Pini Zahavi, Flick’s new agent
Furthermore, the report from Plettenberg claims that Flick has appointed Pini Zahavi as his new agent.
The 58-year-old is eager to take over a new project and wants to use Zahavi’s well-established network to land himself a new job.
This could be good news for Barcelona as Zahavi has very good relations with club president Joan Laporta. He also happens to be the representative of the Catalans’ star striker Robert Lewandowski.
