In a couple of days, Barcelona will face off against Celta Vigo away at Balaidos in La Liga, aiming to bounce back to winning ways.
The Blaugrana were held to a 3-3 draw by Granada last time out in the league and need to produce a strong reaction and get momentum on their side ahead of the UEFA Champions League clash against Napoli.
Roberto, Romeu still not back in training
Heading into Saturday’s game against Celta Vigo, though, Barcelona could still be without two players who were expected to be back in action.
Indeed, as per Mundo Deportivo, Barça veteran duo, Sergi Roberto and Oriol Romeu, are still not back in group training, which makes their availability for the trip to Balaidos ‘complicated’.
Roberto has been out since the Villarreal clash due to an Achilles tendon issue. Initially, he was expected back in time to face Granada, but his return has been delayed.
As for Romeu, the 32-year-old missed Sunday’s clash against Granada due to some discomfort.
Both Roberto and Romeu were expected to return to training with the rest of the group this week so that they could be available against Celta Vigo.
However, two days before the game, the pair is still not back, making their presence to face Rafael Benitez’s side difficult.
With another training session scheduled to take place on Friday, it remains to be seen if either of the two veterans make a comeback.
Meanwhile, Ferran Torres, Joao Felix, Marcos Alonso, Gavi, and Alejandro Balde are all out.
