With only eight days left before the transfer window slams shut, Barcelona are working overtime to sanction some exits so as to register new arrival Dani Olmo and also make one or two late signings.

Ilkay Gundogan, Vitor Roque, Clement Lenglet, and Mika Faye are all on their way out and more players could follow them.

After all, reports earlier today suggested that Barcelona are open to offers for Andreas Christensen, who is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia and England.

Barcelona open to selling Ferran Torres

Now, journalist Alex Pintanel reports that Barcelona would also ‘welcome’ the exit of Ferran Torres this summer.

The 24-year-old has not been consistent enough since joining the Catalans from Manchester City in 2022 in a deal worth €55 million.

Ferran started Barcelona’s La Liga opener this past weekend against Valencia but failed to impress, drawing the ire of fans on social media.

As such, the Blaugrana would be open to parting ways with the Spanish international, with the report stating that several clubs from the Premier League have asked about him.

Newcastle United, for one, have been credited with an interest in Ferran recently, with it being suggested that the Magpies are preparing a lucrative offer to swoop him away from Catalonia.

However, Ferran has shown no indication of wanting to leave Barcelona. The former Valencia man is tied down to a contract until 2027 and protected by a €1 billion release clause.

All this makes his departure from the club difficult even though Barça would welcome the idea of his exit.
