Michy Batshuayi was guilty of a bad gesture during the Trabzonspor-Fenerbahçe match.

Michy Batshuayi was not content with scoring the winning goal for Fenerbahçe on Sunday at Trabzonzpor (2-3). The Belgian striker from the Istanbul club stood out with a semi-Cantonese and slightly dangerous gesture, which could earn him a sanction.

While Trabzonspor supporters invaded the pitch, the former Olympique de Marseille striker intercepted one of them by giving him a… high kick. Batshuayi fortunately hit the intruder in the chest rather than in the head, which would have given another dimension to the story. The supporter also continued his race, almost as if nothing had happened.

Violence on the lawn

Surreal scenes, with blows exchanged between players and spectators, took place at the end of this match, making the Red Devil’s high kick almost anecdotal. Trabzonspor is at great risk for having failed to maintain order and security within its confines.

This season, Michy Batshuayi has scored 21 goals in 36 matches in all competitions with Fenerbahçe, whose colors he has worn since 2022.
