This season, Bayer Leverkusen has made history. Unhappy finalist of the Europa League, Xabi Alonso’s team won the German Cup and the Bundesliga without losing a single match. Qualified for the Champions League for next season, the German club must therefore strengthen itself to remain competitive. And a first recruit has already been made official.

This Thursday, Bayer Leverkusen announced the arrival of Aleix Garcia. The Spanish midfielder therefore leaves Girona with whom he had an exceptional season in La Liga (3rd place). The German club paid 18 million euros to acquire the 26-year-old player who has played 40 matches this season (3 goals, 6 assists). The defensive midfielder has signed until 2029.
