We have reported before that Barcelona’s interest in Hansi Flick is quite strong and while the Blaugrana are yet to make any sort of advancements, they might very well have to rush as Bayern Munich have joined the race as well.

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, the defending Bundesliga champions are pushing hard for Flick to return to Munich, although the man himself is not in a rush to make any decision.

The outlet affirms that right now, he is ready to buy some time in order to evaluate Barcelona’s proposal as and when they send it.

Flick is ready to get in the game

Flick, 58, has been out of a job since September 2023 after he was relieved of his duty by the German national team following a 1-4 loss against Japan.

Since then, the former Bayern Munich head coach has been out of the news, but Barcelona’s interest has brought him under the spotlight.

Furthermore, it was only yesterday that we reported how Flick is advancing towards getting back into the game after changing his representation while joining hands with the famed Pini Zahavi, who also has Robert Lewandowski on his clientele.

It is to be noted that Zahavi is not only a close friend of Barcelona president Joan Laporta but was also his business partner in the Maltese online sports classes company BMVP Limited.

What’s with Bayern Munich?

It is said that despite expressing his willingness and being aware of Barcelona’s interest in securing his services, Flick remains inclined to exercise patience before making any sort of commitment.

The German has reportedly been learning Spanish also aims to thoroughly assess the various offers presented to him, including the one from Barcelona.

However, just when Barcelona were looking to make any advancement, Bayern have jumped on the wagon.

The Bavarians, who are said to be discontent with Thomas Tuchel, are actively endorsing Flick’s return to the team with which he achieved the remarkable treble in 2020.

Tuchel, who also happens to be on Barcelona’s agenda, is having troubles at Bayern and if they finish without a title, high chance that he will be facing an axe.
