Bayern Munich was one of the most active European leaders in the winter transfer window. After Eric Dier, who joined his compatriot Harry Kane, the Munich club will record a second major reinforcement, in the person of Bryan Zaragoza. The 22-year-old winger will fill the absences of Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman, unavailable for several weeks.

This considerably reduces the offensive options of Thomas Tuchel, who was therefore waiting for offensive reinforcement. Bayern quickly leaned towards a solution deemed the simplest: bringing forward the arrival of Zaragoza, concluded a few weeks ago. The young Spaniard, aged 22, plays for Granada, which is fighting to stay in La Liga. It was purchased for €15 million by the Bavarian club, starting with the 2024-2025 season.

Bayern put their hand in their pocket

Discussions were therefore launched so that the transfer could be done before the closing of the winter transfer window, and it was not so simple, since Zaragoza is an important element of the team, in the fight for maintenance. Moreover, in Spain, the first echoes suggested that Granada would not let him leave. Bayern have therefore put their hands back in the wallet. According to Sky GermanyMunich leaders put a little less than €5 million back on the table.

This was enough to convince Granada, who will have recovered a total of almost €20 million from the sale of this player, author of 6 goals this season. Bryan Zaragoza arrived in Munich this Thursday morning and will have his medical examination. He is even expected to be in the Munich group for the match against Borussia Mönchengladbach scheduled for Saturday!
