Becky Lynch is devastated by Kevin Patrick‘s WWE exit.

The company fired the Irish announcer earlier this year. This came after three years in the company, which time he had become the head commentator on Smackdown.

Speaking with the Cheap Heat podcast, Becky Lynch called the loss of Kevin Patrick a big loss, calling the decision to fire him “Heartbreaking”.

She then went on to speak about the Irish connection in the WWE, and how she has a relationship with all the Irish talent in the company.

“It was [a big loss]. It was heartbreaking. We loved him. I love him. He’s great. He’s so great, and he was always working so hard. Like, he would always find you and be like ‘what do you want me to talk about? Let me take all those notes.’ He was always asking, always trying to improve and get better, and tell the best story. That goes a long way too, that he cared enough to always be doing that. He was great.”

“There is [an Irish connection in the WWE]. Fergal [Finn Balor], we go back so long, he’s like a brother to me. JD [McDonagh], I’ve known him since he was 12, since he couldn’t hit the top rope when he was learning. Then, the Fella, Sheamus. Sheamus is like another brother to me. He’s one of my best friends. We have that connection, one because we’ve known each other so long, and two, because we know what it’s like to be over here, away from our family.”

“And you know, Ireland’s such a village. In America, they say there are six degrees of separation. In Ireland, there’s one. There’s no more than that.”
