A major English club is starting to work to possibly enlist French striker Karim Benzema.
Only a few months after leaving it, Karim Benzema will perhaps soon be back in Europe. If not at Lyon, the former Ballon d’Or winner is likely to bounce back in the Premier League.
A new challenge for Benzema
According to Guardian journalist Ed Aarons, Chelsea have shown real interest in the former Real Madrid player. An offer could be sent to Al-Ittihad for a transfer by the end of the winter transfer window. The Saudis would not be against the idea of a deal, provided they are financially secure.
On the Lyon side, we are also considering the possibility of formulating a proposal. Nevertheless, and although John Textor is personally involved in this matter, it is obvious that the Gones do not have the means to compete with the Blues.
As for the main person concerned, he has not expressed his preference for a future challenge. On the other hand, he would have clearly expressed to his clan his desire to leave Al-Ittihad. At least temporarily.
