Bill Skarsgård (Nosferatu), Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus), and Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place) are new additions to the cast of The Death of Robin Hood, the new film from writer-director Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One), to be distributed in the U.S. by A24.

Hailing from Lyrical Media and Ryder Picture Company, the film will be led by Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer, as previously announced. Production begins in Ireland this week. The story follows a battle-worn loner, grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, who finds himself gravely injured and in the hands of a mysterious woman, who offers him a chance at salvation.

Lyrical Media is fully financing the film. Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett are producing under their Ryder Picture Company banner alongside Alexander Black for Lyrical Media and Jackman. Lyrical’s Jon Rosenberg and Natalie Sellers are exec producing with Rama Gottumukkala and Sarnoski. A24 acquired U.S. rights in Cannes, while True Brit Entertainment will be releasing the film in the UK and Ireland. WME Independent reps the film’s foreign rights.

Currently, Skarsgård can be seen starring as Count Orlok in Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, which is up for four Oscars and has grossed over $173 million worldwide. Upcoming, he’ll be seen starring in David Yarovesky’s horror thriller Locked, Dead Man’s Wire for Gus Van Sant, and IT: Welcome to Derry, where he reprises his role as Pennywise.

Known for an Emmy-winning turn on The White Lotus, as well as work on the shows The Last of Us and Welcome to Chippendales, Bartlett’s upcoming slate includes A24’s cult-themed horror film Opus and At The Sea, opposite Amy Adams.

Best known for his work in the A Quiet Place franchise, Jupe is coming off a role in Apple TV+’s Lady in the Lake opposite Natalie Portman.

Lyrical Media and RPC have a first-look deal that includes Adam Wingard’s A24 pic Onslaught, starring Adria Arjona and Dan Stevens, which is currently in post. The companies are also developing a slate of projects including Funny Story, an adaptation of Emily Henry’s bestselling romantic comedy, and Butcher & Blackbird, based on the novel by Brynne Weaver.

Skarsgård, Bartlett and Jupe are all with WME. Skarsgård is also repped by Agentfirman and Magnolia Entertainment; Bartlett by Anonymous Content; and Jupe by Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
