Blu DeTiger, who is known as the “Bass Queen” thanks to her stellar bass skills, shut down the streets of downtown San Francisco with a free DJ set this week. The 27-year-old singer and bass guitarist performed a headlining set for the “Downtown First Thursday” series on Thursday (March 6) in SF. Tens of thousands of people showed up, shutting down several blocks in the downtown district. Days earlier she was on the red carpet at the star-studded Elton John Oscar Viewing Party. Blu dropped her debut studio album All I Ever Want Is Everything last year and she has opened on tour for Sabrina Carpenter. She recently partnered with Fender as the first woman to release her own signature bass guitar. Next up is a set at Coachella on the Do LaB stage, which is the festival’s full sensory experience.
