In 1997, Indians were left with goosebumps and a strong sense of patriotism following the release of JP Dutta’s Border. The epic war drama – written, directed and produced by Dutta, starred Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Sudesh Berry and Puneet Issar in lead roles. Now, 27 years later, the Sunny is back to fulfil the promise he made them.
Sunny Deol announces his return to Border 2
After sharing a cryptic video yesterday and making the internet go wild with speculations, Sunny Deol has confirmed that he will return in one of India’s biggest War film of all time – Border 2. Deol, T-Series and JP Films took to social media and shared an announcement video. Welcoming Sunny Deol to Border 2, their caption read, “Ek fauji apne 27 saal purane waade ko pura karne, aa raha hai phirse. India’s biggest war film, #Border2”
Border 2 will be the biggest war film in India. According to rumours, the story is set in the same setting as the Battle of Longewala. Filming is scheduled to begin sometime in October of this year.
