On Tuesday, a child discharged a firearm at a primary school in Vantaa, located outside the Finnish capital Helsinki.
The shooting injured three others, according to police, who confirmed that the assailant was in custody.
“All those involved in the shooting incident are minors. According to the police’s current information, there are three injured,” stated the police.
It is not clear why the child decided to take this drastic action which could have led to the death of the victims. Also, how the child was able to get access to the firearm has not been disclosed as the police are yet to investigate the incident.
