Former Manchester United player Mason Greenwood has officially signed with Olympique Marseille, marking a significant move in his career following his departure from Old Trafford.
Renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on Thursday via X, stating, “Official, confirmed. Mason Greenwood signs in as new Olympique Marseille number 10.”
Romano revealed that the terms of the deal include a €26 million fixed fee, €5 million in add-ons, and a 50% sell-on clause for Manchester United.
The transfer comes after extensive efforts by Marseille’s management. Romano wrote, “Pablo Longoria and Mehdi Benatia have been working on this deal for weeks and have now completed it.”
According to Romano, Marseille’s manager Roberto De Zerbi played an active role in convincing Greenwood to join the team, stating that De Zerbi called Mason almost every day.
