The Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ondo State governorship election, Olayide Adelami, delivered a resounding victory for his party at his polling unit in Owo.
At Unit 16, Igboroko 2, Ward 03, located at Ahmadiya Grammar School, Iselu, the APC clinched 209 votes, decisively outpacing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which managed just 11 votes. The landslide win further cements the APC’s stronghold in the area.
Adelami, who cast his vote at exactly 9:40 a.m., lauded the peaceful and orderly conduct of the election at his polling unit.
He expressed optimism about his party’s chances, attributing their success to robust campaigns and strong grassroots support across all 18 local government areas in the state.
“Our vigorous campaigns and the overwhelming acceptance of our party have given us the confidence that we will come out victorious in this election,” Adelami said after voting.
The polling unit, which has a total of 850 registered voters, recorded significant support for the APC, reflecting what Adelami described as “a clear mandate from the people.”
