Brentford have hijacked Tottenham's deal to sign Antonio Nusa by agreeing a club-record £25.6million fee with Club Brugge, talkSPORT understands.

It looked as though the winger would link up with Spurs with the two teams locked in advanced negotiations.

But the 18-year-old is now poised to sign for Thomas Frank's side, where he will soon undergo a medical.

It is believed that the deal could see Nusa loaned back to Brugge for the remainder of the season.

Regarded as one of Europe's hottest prospects, the teenager has chipped in with four goals and three assists in all competitions this campaign.

He became the youngest player in Champions League history to score on his debut during a 4-0 win over Porto in September 2022.

The wide man has already won four caps at senior international level for Norway.

Once the move is confirmed, it will be a club-record transfer for the Bees - eclipsing the £23m they paid Wolves for Nathan Collins last summer.

And talkSPORT also understands that Brentford are keeping tabs on Toulouse striker Thijs Dallinga.

Though it appears unlikely that they will meet the Ligue 1 club's asking price of between £30m-£35m.

The 23-year-old fired Toulouse to their first Coupe de France trophy last season, where he scored twice in the final victory over Nantes.

After banging in 18 goals in all competitions in the 2022/23 campaign, the Dutchman has fired in ten times so far this term.

Brentford, who have seen Arsenal and Chelsea target Ivan Toney return to the team, are keen to bolster their attack.
