The BRS criticized the BJP manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, saying that while the party talks about ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India) in words, its actions create a ‘Vibhajit Bharat’ (divisive India).
Reacting to the manifesto, BRS senior leader T Harish Rao stated that it is full of slogans and lacks substance. He gave examples to show that the BJP manifesto neglects important issues like women, youth, poor, and farmers.

Rao pointed out that the manifesto does not promise to waive farmers’ loans, despite demands from many states. He also criticized the lack of assurances for major irrigation projects and income tax concessions for the middle class.
The BRS leader questioned the BJP’s promise to create two crore jobs a year and increase BC reservation in legislatures. He also highlighted the absence of guarantees for the categorization of SCs and STs, as well as the development of metro cities like Hyderabad.
