Bruce Willis’ wife shares rare home video of actor smiling and laughing amid aphasia and dementia battles

Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming posted a sweet video of the “Die Hard” star as he continues to battle aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

In the rare video, posted on Instagram over the weekend, Willis can be seen sitting on a porch outside singing out “Yodel-o-whoo-whoo.”

“All right, folks, this is,” he added, before laughing as the video cut out.

Heming, 46, wrote over the clip, “Him. Always.”

She also posted a photo of the couple with their two daughters, Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, writing “Them. Always.”

Another photo showed Willis, 69, helping one of their daughters with their golf swing and anothing enjoying a teacup ride with Mabel.

In March 2022, all of the actor’s family, including his ex-wife Demi Moore, and their three daughters, Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30 released a statement explaining that the actor was battling aphasia, a condition characterized by difficulty expressing and understanding language.

The following year, they shared that the “Pulp Fiction” star had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.

“Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces,” their February 2023 statement read. “While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”

Earlier this month, Moore, 62, admitted in an interview that she wouldn’t wish her ex’s condition “upon anyone,” adding that his struggles were “very difficult.”

However, she did note that ,”there is also great beauty and gifts that can come from it.”

Scout and Tallulah shared a carousel of photos taken over Thanksgiving of them enjoying time with their father.

They captioned them, “Grateful 🫂.”

Heming, who wed Willis in 2009, recently opened up about her husband’s condition in an interview with Town & Country magazine.

“Finally getting to a diagnosis was key so that I could learn what fronto­temporal dementia is and I could educate our children,” she explained in October.

Heming revealed that she is not “trying to shield” her young daughters from their dad’s declining health.

“I’ve never tried to sugarcoat anything for them. They’ve grown up with Bruce declining over the years,” she said.
