Bryan Danielson speaks highly of Mina Shirakawa.

In recent weeks, STARDOM star Mina Shirakawa has been featured on AEW programming. She has been feuding with AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm as part of a dynamic storyline with Mariah May. Shirakawa will challenge Storm for the gold at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Bryan Danielson, one of the key figures behind the scenes in AEW, praised Mina Shirakawa.

“Mina Shirakawa, she has done an incredible job in terms of getting over as a personality on AEW TV,” Bryan Danielson said. “Her personality just bleeds through the screen, right? I’m excited for her match at Forbidden Door with Toni Storm.”

“I have said hi to her maybe twice–there really hasn’t been any conversation, but I was watching Dynamite in Tony’s office the other night, and we both remarked at how she does such a good job,” Danielson said. “Whatever the cultural differences or language barriers, it makes no difference. The Toni Storm-Mariah May-Mina story is so compelling.”

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door as it airs on June 30.
