Bull Nakano comments on getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

As previously announced, Bull Nakano (real name Keiko Aoki) will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2024. She had a prominent run in All Japan Women’s Pro Wrestling, and she competed for CMLL before she came to the WWF and won the Women’s Championship. Nakano had a brief run in WCW before she retired from in-ring competition in 1997. She has remained involved in the business in recent years.

Speaking with Tokyo Sports, Bull Nakano noted that WWE reached out to her about the Hall of Fame back in January. She also shared her reaction. (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling for the translation)

“On January 16th, I was asked, it has been decided that I will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but, ‘Do you intend to receive the award?’ ‘Of course I do!’ And cried with joy,” she said. “I was told that it would be a top secret until the announcement, and I tried not to meet anyone (laughs).”
