Mikel Arteta’s side are two points off the top of the table and must continue their winning streak to keep up in the title race.

They will fancy their chances against the Clarets who have lost nine of their 12 home games this season and will be without manager Vincent Kompany on the sidelines.

Burnley vs Arsenal: Saka’s half-century

Bukayo Saka reached a landmark for Arsenal against West Ham last time out.

The 22-year-old scored his 50th and 51st goals for the Gunners at the London Stadium.

By doing so, he became the youngest player in the Premier League era to reach half a century for the club.

Saka has some incredible stats for his age, having a combined 70 goals and assists to his name since the start of the 2021/22 season.

He is one of only two top-flight players with 40+ goals and 30+ assists in that time alongside Mohamed Salah

‘Starboy’ continues to live up to his nickname and he’s playing a huge part in Arsenal’s title challenge yet again this campaign.

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 10 away league games against Burnley (W5 D5). Eight of these have come in the Premier League, with only Chelsea playing away against a side more often without ever losing in the competition (9, also against Burnley). Burnley have won just one of their 17 Premier League games against Arsenal (D4 L12), with that win coming at the Emirates Stadium in December 2020.

Burnley vs Arsenal: Team news

Burnley could have left-back Charlie Taylor back after he returned to training this week.

Taylor has been out for over a month alongside Jordan Beyer, Luca Koleosho and Nathan Redmond who are all still sidelined.

As for Arsenal, Gabriel Jesus is expected to be absent again after missing the last three games with a knee injury.

Emile Smith Rowe is also not likely to feature following a knock in training while Oleksandr Zinchenko is a doubt.

Jorginho was only fit enough for the bench against West Ham with a foot issue being managed by Arteta.

Arsenal are one of only two sides with a 100% Premier League record in 2024 so far, winning all four games and scoring 16 goals. It’s only the second time they’ve won their first four league games in a year, also doing so in 1935; they’ve never won their opening five league games in a calendar year.

Burnley vs Arsenal: What has been said?

Burnley boss Kompany will be serving a touchline ban when his side faces Arsenal.

Speaking about his third booking of the season last time out, Kompany said: "I think I got booked because I should have paid attention to the fact that Jurgen Klopp got booked.

"Because then all I think the referee did was [he] just went looking for me.

"I opened my arms out which I have done exactly that in many games. Then all of a sudden the card comes out. Out of nothing.

"Now I am suspended for the next game. I should have known it was just a way to balance it out and it doesn't make sense.

“But hey, we have to keep going. No sulking."

It’s the most one side has faced another in the competition without ever netting multiple goals. Burnley have shipped 50 Premier League goals this season in just 24 matches, conceding their 50th in the 3-1 loss to Liverpool. It is the earliest into a league season they’ve shipped 50 goals since 1932-33 (23rd game, second tier) and earliest in the top-flight since 1929-30 (24th game).
